My primary responsibility at Queens is to serve as project manager for the complete site redesign of www.queens.edu and all of its micro-sites as well as the selection and implementation of the new content management system for the university. Working in collaboration with various university departments, I assist with the review, analysis and separation internal communications from external communications to ensure that content is published and maintained in the appropriate location.

Online Merchandising Analyst

I performed analysis of the current site taxonomy and product placement for navigational accuracy, increased usability and product promotion to comply with corporate marketing and merchandising objectives. I also worked to identify proper product nomenclature, product groupings and required vendor specific product selling attributes.

Improved customer shopping experience by reviewing all www.lowes.com product specific selling attribute data to improve consumer product descriptions, specifications and navigational facets. A large part of improving the customer shopping experience was to recommend complete taxonomy reorganization for new site platform based on new product groupings, consumer buying trends, search engine optimization and online sales analysis. In conjunction with site taxonomy I managed www.lowes.com internal search keyword associations and keyword redirects to improve effectiveness of internal search results and improve search conversion rates. I also worked with the Online Merchandising team to improve guided customer navigation.

During my six years at AAA, I was responsible for analyzing design aesthetics, developing site structure, creating navigation, implementing site analytics, integration with external applications and websites, development of standards and procedures for the AAA Carolinas Member site supporting 1.6 million Members and approximately 500,000 registered users in North and South Carolina. My primary responsibilities focused on User Interface Design and development of organizational structure and corporate standards in adherence to overall corporate strategy and objectives.

I also worked with all internal business lines to redevelop, organize and create consistent content and content placement throughout the site and then served as technical, marketing and advertising liaison to all internal and external stakeholders.

While at AAA, I was fortunate to implement Content Management Systems for both our internet and intranet. We selected the Vignette Content Management System in collaboration with our National office for our internet solution. I was responsible for content and business analysis, site hierarchy, database definitions, user group definitions and site aesthetics. For our corporate intranet I participated in the organization, development and deployment of a .NET solution.

Other responsibilities included designing and maintaining electronic newsletter for multiple internal and external campaigns; creating, analyzing and monitoring graphical banner advertisements for new product launches, advertising campaigns and contests and creating various micro-sites for AAA (Disney Rewards Program, AAA Car Care Centers, Independent Insurance Affiliates).

I also performed Google Analytics training for internal staff on interpretation, analysis and reporting. And completed web analysis for search engine optimization and search engine marketing including organic search results and paid placement.

As Marketing/Internet Trainer, I developed corporate marketing objectives/strategies to increase market penetration for customer websites as well as assist customers to then educate, promote and increase subscriptions of their websites. I also developed and implemented a corporate training program including all marketing and training materials that was conducted at over 20 locations in the United States to assist our top-level customers in customizing and refining their websites.

I also served on a corporate technology task force to identify short-term and long-term project objectives and goals as well as reviewed and analyzed customer websites for potential content revisions and technological enhancements.

Satellite Division Marketing/Program Coordinator

My experience with the InterNET Satellite Network allowed me to be involved in all aspects of marketing, programming and branding. I was responsible for creating channel logo, station ID and corporate image; designing and maintaining the corporate website, including content, online schedule and product information; developing, publishing and distributing quarterly program guide; developing and managing advertising campaigns for event exhibits, print material, audio and video promotions and creating and managing marketing materials for multimedia presentations and our corporate website.

I managed all co-op advertising and event promotion accounts; developed, implemented and monitored channel program line up to ensure quality control and accuracy and managed channel program playback submission, tracking and trafficking. I also conducted channel programming surveys; provided quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly sales and programming analysis and planning.

I was fortunate to work behind the scenes in generating potential new programming ideas, including formats, content, speakers and guests as well as working with production crew, events staff and other outside service vendors for new program acquisition.

Marketing Division Technology Programs/Services Developer

At this position I managed software, satellite and other technical product lines; supported development, content creation, marketing and advertising efforts of corporate website and created and managed exhibit and promotional materials for all technical product lines.

I also performed detailed research, development and cost analysis on potential new technical products and served as liaison for technical products between Research/Development, Marketing, Operations and Senior Level Management.

Marketing Division Special Projects Support

I provided general technical and project management support for marketing special projects; participated in the development, marketing, sales and merchandising of corporate specialty items.

I also coordinated implementation of market research, competitive intelligence, demographics and analysis reporting as well as conducted consumer focus groups and analysis on new potential products.
